STAMP DESIGN
DESCRIPTION
The Metropolitan Museum of Art (MET) is a happy place for many people. This stamp collection and book of love stories provides visitors with a memento of their time at the museum. I have taken inspiration from the video series “The MET stories” to create the stamp collection and book. The stamps feature an abstract visual for each of six love stories that happened in six different spots at The MET. The book integrates images of the stamps with the corresponding love stories.
PROCESS:
My first step was to create original paintings of each love story.
These paintings were the inspiration for the final stamp design below.
This colorful book features each individual stamp on its own page with the corresponding love story on the opposite page. Behind each stamp is a close-up of the original art on the stamp.
